Nora's 18 Month Checkup & Stats

I took Nora to her 18 month check up with Dr. Stephanie yesterday and all went well! She is in the 99 percentile for height and 97 percentile for weigh! Between Ryan and I, the only side of the family she is taking after in height, is the Hill side (my Mom's side) of the family. Nora has always been in the 90's for height and weight but the doctor said right now it doesn't mean much.

At 18 months, Nora is saying lots of words (I think NO is her favorite), she loves to tell everyone bye, bye and blow kisses when we leave anywhere, gives great hugs, she says Please and Thank You all the time, is very sweet and loving, wants to always be held, starting to fight back and hold her own with Nolan, cutting lots of teeth at once, likes to swing, pick up worms in the dirt and is very bossy when it comes to her bedtime routine! Nora is very mature for her age and follows in her brother's footsteps all the time! I forget that she is "only 18 months."
My sister Sara (Yara to Nora) always takes a picture with the kids when she comes over to visit. This is the latest of Nora. It was such a great picture of her personality that I just had to use it!

It's officially summer!

The pool is open!  (The kiddie pool that is.) There is nothing better than a new activity to do when you're a toddler! After a busy morning, we came home just in time to eat lunch and enjoy some fun 'n the sun! I told the kids that if they ate a good lunch, I had a surprise  for them. Nolan was done in a hurry! After I told him I was putting up the pool, he was back in a flash with his swim trunks! He has been bugging my parents (MoMo and BoBo) to open up their pool, so I knew they would be excited to enjoy the kiddie pool for now.
The kids giggled and played for a long time. They were worn out just in time for their naps:) Funny how a little sun makes nap time a lot easier!

Milestones & Memories

The title of this first post says it all!

Starting a blog has always been something that I've had on my "to do list" since we had our first baby. I never thought that I could commit to the blog on a consistant basis but at this point, anything I write is better than nothing! With time flying by, our five year wedding anniversary approaching and our two babies doing something new everyday, I decided it was time for some help! I need for our pictures and memories to be organized, in turn, making me feel more organized. With some encouragement from my husband (he came up with the title of the blog and really wanted me to do it) and a friend, I am excited to start documenting the Davlin's milestones and memories! To make up for lost time, I will feature both past and present memories. Maybe even have my hubby do a post or two!? Ready...set...go!
