I'm so excited to introduce my new nephew, Lane Michael Crow!
My sister Sara and Seth had their first baby on February 18, 2015. He was due on February 12 and finally made his way into the world after being induced. The doctor broke her water right before 10am and I got to the hospital about a half an hour after that. At about 2pm she was over the half way point. At 4:10pm I stepped out to use the restroom and got a text from my mom that she was pushing. I rushed to the room because I was in charge of taking pictures. I wasn't sure what I would think of being in there but it was an amazing experience! He was born at 4:35pm, weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces and 21 inches long.
Lane was sent to the nicu shortly after he was checked out because he had pneumothorax (air pocket by the lungs). This happened when he took his first breath. Good new is he only stayed in there for the "normal" two day stay that mom and baby usually do. We are very thankful for this:) He's home now and doing great!
